Worlds Apart — Utah

Captured near the Devil's Garden area of Arches National Park, this abstract landscape was inspired by two striking monolithic sandstone formations that immediately caught my eye. Experimenting with an in-camera double exposure transformed the familiar desert scene into a surreal composition. Every visual effect was created entirely in-camera at the moment of capture, with no digital editing or compositing used. This is the photograph that started it all for me… The moment I realized I could bring a creative technique I had long been using in the studio into the remote landscapes of the natural world.
