South Rim - Arizona

Several years ago, while on a coast-to-coast road trip, I made a brief stop at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. I can't say that I spent a significant amount of time there, but it left a lasting impression. It was deep, it was wide — The vastness of the canyon was unlike anything I had experienced before. Layer upon layer of rock disappeared into the distance as far as I could see. It was one of those places that reminds you just how immense the natural world can be. It is truly one of the most remarkable landscapes in the American Southwest.
