Convergence— Utah

Convergence is my attempt to show Zion National Park not only as it appears, but as a place where earth and sky seem to reach for one another. The same peak meets itself in the middle, one half suspended from the sky, the other rising from the earth to meet it. This photograph is an in-camera double exposure — An imperfect image, with subtle flaws and lack of complete symmetry that, to me, are what make it beautiful and striking. For me, it’s about the gentle chaos and unpredictability of the process.
